about-me.jpg

Born and raised in Southern California.
Half Japanese, half Chinese.

My journey in tech began at the University of California, Irvine, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Informatics with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. As a front-end web developer for over half a decade, I realized I enjoyed the user experience aspect when building websites. This led me down the path of UI/UX design, and most recently, graphic design. I completed CareerFoundry’s UI Design Program in December 2019, worked as a UI designer freelancer for the first half of 2020, and closed out the year by completing a 3-month full-time graphic design course at Shillington. I look forward to learning more about the world of design every day!

In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, playing basketball, and taking photos. My most recent photography projects include my husband’s 9-man volleyball team and a local university’s women’s beach volleyball team (check out some photos here!). When I get the chance, I also run with a local run club, Social Hour Run Club.
